History
For the longest time, Matt and I would joke that what we really wanted was an email system that didn't work quickly. We get everything so quickly with computers, we missed the days of dial-up and waiting to get what we wanted. Thus, Pigeon Mail was born.
The idea really was simple:
- Basic messaging between friends
- Make the messages take as long as it would take a carrier pigeon to deliver them
- If bored, show a map of the pigeons flying around the world.
It took a few years (10+) for me to finally do it, but my time at Techstars Boston in the fall of 2023 finally pushed me over the top, and in one day I created the first version of the site on New Year's 2024.
